The Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel (CUAET) program allows Ukrainian citizens and their immediate family members to come to Canada for a period of up to three years. Under the CUAET program, applicants have the option to study or work in Canada. Applicants who are outside of Canada can apply for a visitor visa and an open work permit at the same time. Upon arriving in Canada, applicants who are over 18 years old can also apply for a study permit.

Ukrainian citizens can now apply to the CUAET program until July 15, 2023. The program was originally set to expire on March 31, 2023. Applications submitted under the CUAET program will be given priority processing, and applicants can expect to receive their visa within 14 days.
